The monochrome/lineart is an interesting style. I personally wouldn't mind a tiny hint of colour on whatever the main subject is to make it distinct. Audio seems a bit loud and crackly, but overall a great reminder for all of us.

AnimatedStruggle responds:

Thank you for the feedback! I gotta take another look at my audio. Can't have it sounding like that in the future! :O

Nice combination of photo-realism and animation. Sounds like it was all the same voice actor (I assume you) but there was enough variation in the voices to be distinct. There's what sounds like a hiccup in an empty room at 1:07, which I'm guessing is the impact. Seems a bit out of place with the rest of it.

MrChambers responds:

the voice acting was done by the amazingly talented Ross Plaskow, and thanks for the feedback!

Interesting concept for a stick fight. I liked the fourth wall break with the like button.

Arezki responds:

i made it for my instagram and the thought was, nobody will like it... what if i can like it myself xD

Animation is minimal and in simple style, but the joke makes up for it.

LoafOfMilk responds:

Thank you for rating 2.5 stars for three frames of animation for bad joke *shows ok hand emoji*

Well, that went differently than expected. The output file seems to have some odd shake to it, I don't know if that was a rendering thing or something on my end. Good work though!

jarae1990 responds:

Thank you I'm still new to this so I was playing around with the setting.

Hi! Not bad, I'm not seeing any others on your profile so I'll assume this is your first stop motion. All the fundamentals are here, and are good enough to be passable. A few extra movement frames would add a little more smoothness to the animation. The sound quality was good as well, no audible pops or distortion.

I will say to be cautious when filming around props, because movement of things which aren't supposed to be the focus draws the eye away from the subject. Humans are great at detecting peripheral movement, so when you put the blue clay on the yankee candle to hide the label, you also slightly moved the candle itself. I went back to see where I'd seen other movement. The curtains as well, which I don't know was due to an open window or how you moved around to set everything up. Just something to keep in mind as you keep at it.

Yea I will improve my clay mation (this was not my first clay annimation, its just my first annimation that was posted to newgrounds) and im making more right now :)

Very cute animation! I couldn’t tell where the loop started/ended, so well done there. A little more variation in the background scenery would be nice, maybe changing scenes every 10-15 seconds. Good work!

FantHarubi responds:

thanks :)

Ugh, how horrible. Cyberdevil what have you done?

Just Kidding, nice short. The up/down walking leg animation is a bit odd, but that's a four years ago you problem.

Happy Pico Day man!

Cyberdevil responds:

Man, for a moment there ... XD

Thanks, and yes, those wonky details were the result of a somewhat wonky work practice with the pixel art... though considering I've had little practice since it may be a this year me problem too! Will see when that games comes out if there's potential for changing.

Happy Pico Day to you too!

Very fun! I liked how the music changed temp/mood based on the scene, and how it muted with the pokeball closing. I was half expecting a Kirby butterfly.

It's interesting how the textures were used in different scenes. Some backgrounds were plain gradient, some had a spackling to it (not sure the effect name). It kept the backgrounds interesting, and I don't think it took away from it since the individual scenes were consistent.

Good work! Congrats on Daily 4th!

Axelstation responds:

Thanks for the great review and the nice words, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

What a strange series this is...

The sound of the breaking flowerpot, suspense for the next one! I'm enjoying them, keep it up!
