The knock at 0:58 was so crisp it fooled me twice, which says a lot about the audio quality and I suppose my waiting for gremlins to come to the door and beg for candy.

I liked the range from narrator to small fork-knife cosplayer. You mentioned in a review reply you recorded this; I hope the pants pissing references and super saiyan moment at 2:27 didn't give you troubles with management or housekeeping. Knowing this after the judging helps reinforce my scoring, as you produced a high quality submission in a restrictive environment.

Good work, I'm looking forward to what you come up with next!

Your bit at the end was amusing but also pushed you over the time constraint by a tad. I also upped the rating from T to M due to content (not a problem for contest consideration, just a mod habit).

I couldn't decipher 3:13-3:18, but the rest of it had me giggling. There were some incredibly creative insults in this, which made for an engaging story.

Good work!

I love the writing in this piece. Interesting conversion of a dream into tangible media, it must have been a heck of a nightmare to stick with you.

A few small pops here and there roughly matching the volume spikes one the waveform (3:19 for example).

Looks like this was your first VO piece, welcome to the genre and I hope you stick around and continue down this road!

Even if i didn't win in the end, i was pretty close and overall did the best i could.
And yes, it was one heck of a nightmare indeed; will do more skits in the future.

I briefly thought and hoped this was a Gollum rap.

It's a big jumpy to follow along with, but it's a good display of your vocal range. The audio quality was no issue, I just caught one or two small pops (0:58 "Too") and even then I was reaching.

Looks like this was your first foray into the VO sphere, I hope you stick around and keep an eye out for future VA contests.

The mixing and general sound quality in this is really well done, and the only exception I can find is a higher volume "and" at 2:22 which doesn't match its surroundings. The trills of the clock were a smidge high, but I think the sound is intentionally obnoxious so I wouldn't dock that.

Good quality written dialogue throughout, I liked how you framed the corporate hell of Wal-azon and its staff and management. This was a big step forward from the Cellphone Monologue from August. You're able to show more of your range and skill in this than your prior submissions, which is great. I hope we can get you in to the next VAC.

Cheers mate.

BigTaro responds:

Thank you! I really appreciate the feedback. I'll -actually- be on time in the next one. This fills me with a great deal of confidence.

"You even bothered to leave a comment on that fellas post..."

But look, you proved the host man and yourself wrong and submitted something anyways. Sometimes the first step into things is just clicking the button and going for what comes to mind.

The audio was clear and the self-nagging tone of the piece worked quite well. Not at all horrible.

Good luck!

Don't worry, you made the deadline. Unfortunately I don't provide stability or health insurance. The US election seems to be a category of horror unto itself which I'm blissfully separate from.

I'm a little thrown off that the father was calmly observing his son at the start, I would have liked to hear him come in a little concerned before his son explained what his dream was about.

There were a few audible pops here and there (1:21-1:30). I found that offsetting the mic to be above me helped correct most of that as hard P would pass by the mic membrane.

Good Luck!

I never would have thought of a dating show as a means of showcasing several voices, good call.

Just be cautious with the creep of voice from one style to another within a single character. Contestant 3 started as Evil Elmo until the squishing sound and got more gruff suddenly at 2:12, which I'm not sure was intentional or not. It sounds like it was one take, which did sustain a fast pace and could explain the change of energy.

Audio was clear and well mixed.

Good luck!

Evil-Iron responds:

Thank you. No, I had to do a second take on Con 3, so that might be the change of voice (And my vocals were getting a tad tired after many other takes in the clip.)

I enjoyed Caron, he was an upbeat and evil Willy Wonka. King Minos had good trill which came across naturally with the character's personality.

Clean well mixed audio, the only suggestion would be to lower the gregorian hymn in the background just a smidge to let the echo of the past be a little more in the foreground.

Good Luck!

I thought group projects in high school were horrifying... It is good to know that even evil scientists can't afford to pay their power bill these days.

Igor added nice dark-comedic relief, and there's a good amount of vocal range just in your mad antagonist. I feel a little like the command to "pick up the pieces" deviates too darkly away from the manic personality of the scientist, but that may be reaching with a severed hand.

Solid audio quality and writing throughout.

Good luck!

I want buns of steel but also buns of cinnamon.
